Dear Parents

Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed the summer holiday and are looking forward to a new school year. This year is different for all of class 2. The new children will find the day much more structured with less opportunity for free play, while the year 2s will be presented with greater challenges in preparation for the national SATs assessments in May.

At Key Stage 1 the aim is to cover the required subjects with a cross curricular approach where possible, although some subjects will stand alone, our theme for the term is Toys.

As always please don’t hesitate to raise any issues or concerns as soon as possible. I will be on the playground every morning from 8.50am, or can arrange a meeting after school.

Yours sincerely
