Wrote... I used to go to Ridgmont CP school as it was called between 1950-1955. I lived in Eversholt Road with my Nan, Grandad and Mum Joyce Greenhood who later on became the cook at the school for quite a few years. She is now 91 and lives in Wales. Now mum lives in Wales I don't get back to Ridgmont any more but still keep in touch with friends there.

Wrote... I was a pupil at your school from 1943 until 1949. I lived at what was then 9 High Street, Ridgmont. My sister Mollie who is 5 years older than me also attended the school. She now lives at Woburn Sands. The Teachers when I was there were Miss Boswell ( Head Mistress ) Miss Busby and Miss Bolton. From Ridgmont school, I went to The Cedars, Leighton Buzzard, left there in 1954 at age 16 years and immediately went to work for Marston Valley Brick Co; Marston, left there in 1969, and went to Chubb Security Installations At Kempston as Chief Draughtsman. In 1984 I emigrated to South Africa, still working for Chubb Lock and Safe Co, and helped to start up a similar operation in Johannesburg. I have been here in S.A. ever since, although the Owners are Gunnebo from Sweden, the Chubbsafes brand name still remains. At age 71 years, and never having been out of a job the entire 55 years and at age 60, achieved the position of Export Director. and latterly Non Executive Director I have recently finally retired and now live in Brackenfell, very close to Cape Town. When I get up in the Mornings I look out of the Kitchen window across to the mountains and Winelands at Stellenbosch, then within 2 minutes of leaving my house I see Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean in all their Glory. I hope to get back to U.K. for a holiday later this year, and will visit your school -- my school. Be proud of being a pupil of Ridgmont Primary, I certainly am proud that I was. John MacGregor.

Wrote... Thank you to the Staff, who gave me such a friendly welcome when I called, unexpectedly, at my old Primary School in Ridgmont. They were even able to find my name (and my brother's) in the Admissions Register, arriving in 1943 and leaving in 1948. Outside the building is much as I remember it, but inside much has changed. The caretaker's house is now used by the school. The school is bright and vibrant, with an obviously happy atmosphere and a credit to everyone at Ridgmont Lower School.
